Meet Archibald

Archie loves to fly. He loves swooping between the trees, swinging from branches, catching sudden gusts of wind and seeing where they take him. He doesn’t need a destination. Sometimes he’ll spend an entire afternoon flying around the forest just for the fun of it.

He’s a wonderfully energetic fellow, always bouncing, leaping or fluttering about. His broad, sail-like body catches the wind beautifully, and the long tentacles on his back are extremely handy for swinging through the trees. On the ground, however, he gets terribly restless. He can’t stand staying still, and before long he’ll be jumping up and down, looking for something to climb.

Archie is friendly, outgoing and always delighted to have visitors. He’s made himself a cosy nest high in an enormous oak tree, with a magnificent view over the forest, and there’s almost always a pot of tea ready for anyone who drops by. Getting up there can be a bit of a challenge, but Archie is more than happy to lend a hand, or a tentacle.

He’d love to spend more time with his friends. He just wishes they’d all come up into the trees, where everything is so much more fun.
