Meet Angelica

Angelica is a little shy, but she absolutely loves meeting new people. Every stranger is a possible new friend, and every new friendship is something to look forward to. She tends to like people almost immediately, which is lovely, although it does mean she spends quite a lot of time hoping they’ll feel the same way about her.

She’s thoughtful, affectionate and very good at picking up on how other people are feeling. She remembers little things people tell her, notices when someone is uncomfortable, and will go to considerable lengths to make sure nobody feels left out. She’s the sort of friend who will remember that you don’t like raisins and quietly pick them out of your cake before offering you a slice.

Unfortunately, Angelica can get a little tangled up in her own good intentions. She’s been known to apologise to people who have bumped into her, and if you ask where she’d like to go for lunch, she’ll probably suggest wherever she thinks you’d most like to go. But beneath all that shyness is a genuine determination to make friends and find her place among them. A little encouragement goes a long way.

And if you happen to ask her to smile, well, she’ll certainly give it her very best.
