Meet Penny

Penny absolutely loves doing things. Gardening, cooking, dressing up, organising picnics — if she’s seen a human doing it, she wants to have a go. She finds our world endlessly fascinating, although she hasn’t quite worked out how most of it works.

She’s not terribly good at following instructions, partly because she doesn’t always understand what the instructions are for. She once planted a whole packet of flower seeds, still in their packet, because she thought it would be nice if they all grew together. And when she decided to dress up for a party, she wore the tablecloth, complete with napkin rings. She thought she looked lovely.

Penny is wonderfully affectionate and has an extraordinary knack for knowing when someone needs cheering up. She might not understand what you’ve asked her to do, or why you’ve asked her to do it, but she’ll somehow understand what you were hoping for. Her attempts to help can be spectacularly unsuccessful in practical terms, yet she has a surprising habit of making things better anyway.

She’s always ready to try something new, and if things don’t turn out quite as expected, well, that’s interesting too. She’s already wondering what she might try next.

“LET’S TRY AND SEE!”
